Chairman's Chat 12
Posted by Daniel Goodacre on 2 June 2017
I'll be covering three varied topics today, but all are important, so please do read.
1. Hockey4Hero's
ELHC President and moustached hero Roger Lilleystone has just completed Operation Stretcher with Hockey4Heros. Covering 200 miles & 30 hockey matches in 10 days for Help for Heroes, you can still donate via this link to support Roger and the team in smashing their fundraising target: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/opstretcher
2. Representing the Club
After recent incidents, I'd like to remind all club members that when playing, training and attending club events, you are acting as a representative of the club. Your actions and behaviour reflects not just on you but upon all ELHC. Whilst we pride ourselves on having fun, we must also respect all those partners that enable us to do so. A condition of membership to the club is to adhere to and respect the ELHC Players Charter and Discipline Charter. If you're unsure what that means, you can read them here: http://www.elhockey.co.uk/policy_documents
3. Teas Consultation
As agreed at the AGM, we're currently preparing a consultation around options for teas next season. You'll be seeing further information and context in the coming days. Then between 10th-18th June, you'll be offered the change to vote on the issue. The result will then be club policy for the next four years. So don't miss out, this is probably the most important vote you'll cast this month...
