* * CHAIRMAN'S CHAT * *
This Friday saw the ELHC 25th Anniversary Dinner at the Hilton Paddington, with club members past and present looking resplendent in their black-tie attire. On top of a great meal, there were speeches from ELHC founder Brian Willoughby, ELHC President Roger Lilleystone and ELHC Chairman Daniel Goodacre.
There were a number of exciting announcements made at the event, including:
> The appointment of Brian Willoughby, Kate Jackson, Ian Allgood and Belinda Le Mesurier to the positions of ELHC Vice Presidents
> Confirmation that the new beginners hockey league, created by the club, will feature 6 teams and be called the Thames Hockey League
> Following the success of the 25th anniversary tournament, the decision to host a tournament annually
> The announcement that a further ladies team, L9s, will run this season
> A sneak preview of some of the highlights from the ELHC 5-year plan, with more details to follow shortly
A massive thankyou Char Tyler for all her efforts in organising the event.
