Don’t miss East London Club Day!
Posted by Nobody on 12 August 2016
Next weekend we have another hockey-packed weekend at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre. Club Day is an annual event which sees members across the club from youth to masters players come together for games, challenges, fun and more. It’s always a popularly attended and we expect this year to be no exception, especially with Team GB getting everyone in the mood for some great hockey!
Format for the day is as follows:
10am-11:30am – The Youth Teams
This slot will be led by Caroline Dover and Simone Tudor. Please make sure you all come down to support all our youngest!
12pm-1pm – Chairman vs. President’s game
This match is always a highlight of the day and a great build-up to the other games later in the day. Look out for an invite from Dan Goodacre or Roger Lilleystone to join their teams. To make this even more exciting we will be playing with rules from when the club first started, that’s right offside! Good luck to both sides!
1pm-1:15pm – Registration for games
1:30pm-4:30pm – Games and Challenges
You will need: orange, blue and white tops, gum shields, shin pads and a water bottle. If there weather holds out, sun cream is also a great idea!
4:30pm-5pm – Awards
A variety of prizes will be given out at the end of the day. Make sure you stay for this as you never know what you could be winning!
5pm onwards – To the Castle
Celebrations continue at our clubhouse, The Castle after the final awards have been handed out.
