ELHC Press Release - Craig Fruin announced as new Coach of ELHC Ladies 1s
East London Hockey Club are delighted to announce that Craig Fruin will be joining the club as the new Coach of the Ladies 1. Craig joins East London Hockey Club from neighbours Wapping, where he coached the Men’s 2s for the last three seasons. Prior to this, he coached the Sevenoaks Ladies 2s for four seasons. Craig has also worked alongside some very experienced coaches and international players in his coaching career to date.
It is an exciting time for the Ladies 1s, and for the club, as they embark upon their first season in the National League.
Commenting on the announcement, Craig stated:
“I am very excited and happy to be joining East London Hockey Club. I am looking forward to working with everyone to continue the great work which has been done over the last few years. This is a fantastic opportunity for myself and I am thrilled to be joining at what is a very exciting time for the club as it takes its first steps into National League.”
Anastasia Nicholl, Chair of East London Hockey Club, stated:
“We are delighted to welcome Craig into the East London Hockey Club Family. We are very proud of the progress that the Ladies 1s have made to date, and next season will be the first time an East London Hockey Club team has competed at the National League level. I can’t wait for next season to start and seeing how far the Ladies 1s can go.”
East London Hockey Club would like to place on record our thanks to outgoing coach Andy Moncur for all his work leading the Ladies 1s over the last few seasons.
We hope that everyone is keeping safe and well and look forward with great anticipation to the new season starting when it is fit and safe to do so.
