ELHC’s 2025 – 2026 Executive Committee met for the second time this summer. With start of season fast approaching, August’s meeting focused on ensuring the club is all set and ready to go.
Club Captains are working to hard in preparation for the England Hockey GMS registration of all players in the club.
Plans and procedures for ‘Allocation day’ are underway as the club looks forward to welcoming new and returning players. The committee also discussed recruitment strategies targeting local universities.
Discussions were had around coaches and assistant coaches for the upcoming season with final plans in the process of confirmation. Plans are also underway for the purchase of protective gear for performance teams.
Entry of ELHC into the London Indoor Hockey League was discussed with the deadline for registration in October – watch this space.
The 35th Anniversary of the founding of the club remains high on the agenda. The committee are looking to add this important milestone to our logo and agreed that it was essential that the End of Season Dinner this year marks this special occasion.
Work continues with the Treasury and Club Captains to collect outstanding fees owed to the club. The Treasury team is still looking to recruit a Deputy Treasurer, a vital role in support of the club.
The clubs Diversity and Inclusion Policy will be shared with the Executive Committee for comments and discussion. Following sign off, this will be available to view on the Club website.
Finally, our Treasurer is finalising the Club application for CASC (Community amateur sports clubs) status, an exciting new chapter in the club’s history.
