Hi ELHC,
We’re well into the season now and the great results just keep on coming across the club. Much of our success wouldn't be possible without all the hard work that the captains put in every week. Behind the scenes they spend a lot of time into dealing with selections, logistics, payments and general not-very-fun admin.
You can make their lives a lot easier by doing a few simple things:
1) Update your Clubbuzz Profile
- Include your availability in your profile so captains can plan their teams (via My Profile >> Add Omission)
- Make sure that your personal details and emergency contact are up to date (via My Profile >> Edit Member)
2) Sign-up for Direct Debit
- It’ll automatically charge you for each match you play and it makes it much easier for the club to reimburse you as needed (such as for umpiring or coaching)
- The sign-up process is easy, just follow the instructions here at http://www.elhockey.co.uk/membership_fees
3) Offer Match-day Support
- Captains have lots to deal with on match days, so why not help them out by offering to collect match fees, look after warm-up balls, or write the match report. Just ask what you can do to help!
4) Support with Umpiring
- If you’re a qualified umpire, we’d love your help with matches and will pay you for your time, just let Luke Jefferies know.
- If you’re not qualified but would like to be, we can also help, just let Mike Pettit know
