ELHC Clubmark

I'm delighted to announce that East London HC has become only the second hockey club in London to receive the prestigious Sport England Clubmark accreditation.
Clubmark is the universally acknowledged cross sport accreditation scheme for community sports clubs. It stands for higher standards of welfare, equity, coaching and management in community sports clubs. It shows that a club provides the right environment which ensures the welfare of members and encourages everyone to enjoy sport and stay involved throughout their lives.
As an accredited club, his means we are recognised as a safe, rewarding and fulfilling place for participants of all ages, as well as informing parents and carers that they’re choosing the right club for their young people.
In the closing review with England Hockey Relationship Manager Steve Turner, the club was in particular praised for the focus on offering a variety of ways to play, providing a warm & friendly welcome to new members and ensuring affordability of participation.
Thank you to all the committee members who've supported in the process. A special thank you to Joe Fryer, who has driven and coordinated the application process with great diligence and commitment.
